Medical Chemistry Lab 10: Smells Lab
Introducing organic chemistry can be tough, but the smell lab is a great way to help students relate the lewis dot structure to larger molecules. With a background reading on drug molecules and receptors, the smell lab then walks students through the identification of a number of functional groups as well as how to understand a shorthand drawing of any chemical structure.
Items included in this lab are listed below.
Microcentrifuge tube box, Microcentrifuge tubes, Cotton balls, 15 different oils.
